American Association for Higher Education (AAHE) - The American Association for Higher Education (AAHE) is an individual membership organization that promotes the changes higher education must make to ensure its effectiveness in a complex, interconnected world.

Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development - ASCD offers members opportunities to work on current issues and trends in education. Through publications, consortiums, conferences, and video-based staff development programs, educators have access to various perspectives in modern education, both locally and internationally.

Association of Teacher Educators" -The Association of Teacher Educators was founded in 1920 and is the only national, individual membership organization devoted solely to the improvement of teacher education for both school and campus-based teacher educators.

Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE) - The Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education is an international association of individual teacher educators, and affiliated organizations of teacher educators in all disciplines, who are interested in the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the use of information technology in teacher education.

Audiology:

American Academy of Audiology - Since our founding in 1988, the American Academy of Audiology has grown to 6000 members. The Academy is about audiologists caring about audiology... the Academy is interested in representing all audiologists, and providing equal opportunities for under-represented specializations and special interest groups.

American Academy of Neurology - AAN is a professional organization representing neurologists worldwide. Neurology is the medical science dedicated to unraveling the secrets of the universe within, from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases to stroke and migraine. This site provides information to both medical professionals and to the public. We believe that knowing more about neurology can not only be empowering, but can make all the difference in the treatment and improvement of people's health.

American Neurotology Society - ANS's mission is to exchange and disseminate information about the physiology, pathology and clinical management of the sensory-neural systems of audition and equilibrium and stimulate education, and basic and clinical research relating to these systems.

American Otological Society - the purposes of this Society are (1) to advance and promote medical and surgical otology including the rehabilitation of the hearing impaired, (2) to encourage and promote research in otology and related disciplines, (3) to conduct an annual meeting of the members for the presentation and discussion of scientific papers and the transaction of business affairs of the Society, and (4) to publish the papers and discussion presented during the scientific program and the proceedings of the business meetings.

Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders (CH. A. D. D.) - Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders (CH.A.D.D.) is a nonprofit parent-based organization formed to better the lives of individuals with attention deficit disorders and those who care for them.

Council for Exceptional Children - The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.

International Reading Association - The International Reading Association seeks to promote high levels of literacy for all by improving the quality of reading instruction through studying the reading process and teaching techniques; serving as a clearinghouse for the dissemination of reading research through conferences, journals, and other publications; and actively encouraging the lifetime reading habit.

Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) - The Learning Disabilities Association of America is a national, non-profit organization. Our purpose is to advance the education and general welfare of children and adults of normal or potentially normal intelligence who manifest handicaps of a perceptual, conceptual, or coordinative nature.

Orton Dyslexia Society - The Orton Dyslexia Society (ODS) is an international, 501(c)(3) non-profit, scientific and educational organization dedicated to the study and treatment of dyslexia. The ODS was first established nearly 50 years ago to continue the pioneering work of Dr. Samuel T. Orton, who was one of the first to identify dyslexia and its remediation.

National Association of Secondary School Principals - Membership in NASSP includes a wide variety of people interested in secondary education. American Evaluation Association (AEA) - AEA is an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation. American Society for Training and Development - ASTD is the leading resource on workplace learning and performance issues, providing information, research, analysis and practical information derived from the knowledge and experience of its members, its conferences and publications, and the coalitions and partnerships it has built through research and policy work. ASTD's mission is to provide leadership to individuals, organizations, and society to achieve work-related competence, performance, and fulfillment.

American Educational Research Association (AERA) - AERAA is concerned with improving the educational process by encouraging scholarly inquiry related to education and by promoting the dissemination and practical application of research results.

Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) - the AECT is the only international, professional association dedicated to the improvement of instruction through the utilization of media and technology. It provides a forum for the exchange of information among professionals in educational technology: audio-visual media, library and microcomputer specialists; education administrators; researchers; teachers and professors; media service directors; learning resource specialists; curriculum developers; television producers and directors; and a variety of other professionals who require expertise in instructional technology.

International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) - Founded in 1962, the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) is the leading international association dedicated to improving productivity and performance in the workplace. ISPI's mission is to improve the performance of individuals and organizations through the application of Human Performance Technology.

International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) - ISTE promotes appropriate uses of technology to support and improve teaching and learning. Representing more than 40,000 educators, ISTE provides: curriculum for learning about technology and integrating it into the classroom, research results and project reports, and leadership for policy affecting educational technology.

National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) - NAB is the industry's largest, most inclusive organization, offering a wide variety of member services in addition to providing legislative, regulatory, and judicial representation in Washington, D.C.

National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) - NCME is a professional organization of about 2,300 members. Many members are involved in either the construction and uses of educational tests or the development and evaluation of measurement models and methods. NCME members are committed to the continual improvement of testing and measurement practiced in education.

Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE) - The Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education is an international association of individual teacher educators, and affiliated organizations of teacher educators in all disciplines, who are interested in the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the use of information technology in teacher education.

American Association of School Librarians - The largest professional organization serving school library media professionals, grades K-12. AASLUs 7,800 members, and 25,000 affiliated members are dedicated to quality education in the nationUs schools and to the advancement of the school library media profession. AASL is concerned with the issues that concern you.

American Federation of Teachers - The AFT is an 900,000-member union of public and professional employees, including public and private school teachers, paraprofessionals and school-related personnel (PSRPs), higher education faculty and professionals, employees of state and local governments, nurses and health professionals. The union exits to serve the interests of its members as determined by democratic processes at the local, state and national levels.

National Education Association - NEA is America's oldest and largest organization committed to advancing the cause of public education. Founded in 1857 in Philadelphia and now headquartered in Washington, D.C., NEA proudly claims over 2.2 million members who work at every level of education, from pre-school to university graduate programs. NEA has affiliates in every state as well as in over 13,000 local communities across the United States.

National Middle School Association - NMSA serves as a voice for professionals, parents, and others interested in the educational and developmental needs of young adolescents (youth 10-15 years of age). NMSA is the only educational association exclusively devoted to improving the educational experiences of young adolescents.

National Science Teacher's Association - The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), founded in 1944 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is the largest organization in the world committed to the improvement of science education at all levels preschool through college. NSTA's current membership of more than 53,000 includes science teachers, science supervisors, administrators, scientists, business and industry representatives, and others involved in science education.

Utah Education Association - As the 21st century unfolds, UEA and its affiliates will work together as a strong, collaborative and inclusive professional organization which meets the needs of members and the children they teach.
