- African Studies Association (ASA) - ASA was founded in 1957 as a nonprofit organization open to all individuals and institutions interested in African affairs. Its mission is to bring together people with a scholarly and professional interest in Africa.
- American Anthropological Association (AAA) - Founded in 1902, the American Anthropological Association (AAA) is the world's largest organization of individuals interested in anthropology. It was formed "to promote the science of anthropology, to stimulate and coordinate the efforts of American anthropologists, to foster local and other societies devoted to anthropology, to serve as a bond among American anthropologists and anthropologic[al] organizations present and prospective, and to publish and encourage the publication of matter pertaining to anthropology"
- American Oriental Society (AOS) - the AOS promotes the studies of such subjects as basic research in the languages and literatures of Asia , philology, literary criticism, textual criticism, paleography, epigraphy, linguistics, biography, archaeology, and the history of the intellectual and imaginative aspects of Oriental civilizations, especially of philosophy, religion, folklore and art.

- Canadian Sociology and Anthropology Association (CSAA) - The Canadian Sociology and Anthropology Association (CSAA/SCSA) is a professional association which promotes research, publication and teaching in Anthropology and Sociology in Canada. Its members include anthropologists and sociologists in education, government and business, students and individuals from other disciplines or affiliations who share a concern for anthropology and sociology
- Commission on Theoretical Anthropology (COTA) - The aim of COTA is to provide an international forum for coordination and communication between scholars steming from various theoretical and methodological horizons.
- Egypt Exploration Society (EES) - The Egypt Exploration Society was founded, as the Egypt Exploration Fund, in 1882 in order to make surveys, explorations and excavations at ancient sites in Egypt, and to publish the results of this work. It is today one of the leading archaeological orgnisations working in Egypt.
- Latin American Studies Association (LASA) - LASA is the largest professional association in the world for individuals and institutions engaged in the study of Latin America. With 4,400 members, twenty percent of whom reside outside the United States, LASA is the one association that brings together experts on Latin America from all disciplines, and diverse occupational endeavors, across the globe.
- Middle East Studies Association of North America (MESA) - MESA focuses on the study of the Middle East since the rise of Islam, principally from the viewpoint of the humanities and the social sciences. Its membership is international.
- Mongolia Society (MS) - The Mongolia Society was founded in late 1961 as a private, non-profit, non-political organization interested in promoting and furthering the study of Mongolia, its history, language, and culture. The aims of the Society are exclusively scholarly, educational, and charitable.
- Society for Armenian Studies (SAS) - The aims of SAS are to promote the study of Armenian culture and society, including history, language, literature, and social, political, and economic questions; to facilitate the exchange of scholarly information pertaining to Armenian studies around the world; and to sponsor panels and conferences on Armenian studies.
- Society for Economic Anthropology (SEA) - The Society for Economic Anthropology is an association of more than 500 anthropologists, archaeologists, and economists interested in understanding diversity and change in the economic systems of the world.
- Society for Slovene Studies (SSS) - The Society for Slovene Studies, which was founded in 1973 and affiliated with the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies in 1977, is a scholarly non-profit organization dedicated to fostering closer communication among scholars interested in Slovene studies, and to promoting the dissemination of scholarly information on Slovene studies through the organization of meetings and conferences and the preparation of scholarly works for publication.

- Economic History Association (EHA) - EHA was founded in 1940. - Economic Science Association (ESA) - ESA is a professional organization whose members focus on developing economics as an observational science. Research in the area employs controlled experiments as a means of understanding economic behavior.
- European Economic Association (EEA) - EEA is an international scientific body, with membership open to all persons involved or interested in economics.
- International Federation of Nonlinear Analysts (IFNA) - IFNA was established in August 12, 1991 as a professional society with ambitious goals. It is a transdiciplinary society which seeks to promote common understanding of related nonlinear problems and approaches to solutions from all disciplines.
- Society for Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics (SNDE) - The Society seeks to promote the use of nonlinear methods in economics and finance from both a theoretical and empirical perspective.

- Association of American Geographers (AAG) - The AAG is distinguished by a diverse membership from the United States, Canada, and more than 70 other countries. - European Umbrella Organisation for Geographic Information (EUROGI) - EUROGI, the European Umbrella Organisation for Geographic Information, aims to promote, stimulate, encourage and support the development and use of Geographic Information and Technology at the European level and to represent the common interest of the Geographic Information community in Europe.
- National Council for Geographic Education (NCGE) - NCGE works to enhance the status and quality of geography teaching and learning. To meet its mission, the NCGE: Promotes the importance and value of geographic education. Enhances the preparation of geographic educators with respect to their knowledge of content, techniques, and learning processes. Facilitates communication among teachers of geography. Encourages and supports research on geographic education.
- National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) - Founded in 1921, NCSS has grown to be the largest association in the country devoted solely to social studies education. NCSS engages and supports educators in strengthening and advocating social studies.
